GS Credit Redemption Requests Slow to 2% Amid Easing Industry Pressure
Goldman Sachs' private credit fund, GS Credit, has seen redemption requests slow significantly in the third quarter. Investor redemptions totaled just 2% of net assets, down from 3.2% in the previous quarter.
This is a sign that redemption pressure across the industry may be easing. GS Credit's redemption rate remains below most competing funds, with some rival funds facing much higher rates of 10% to over 16% of net assets.
The fund's low redemption request rate can be attributed in part to its long-term investor base, which includes clients from Goldman's private wealth division. These investors have a tolerance for illiquidity and are less likely to request redemptions.
GS Credit also reported $400 million in gross inflows during the third quarter, indicating that new capital is still flowing into the fund. The Class I shares of the fund have delivered a total return of roughly 9.4% since inception as of the end of August 2026.
