GTA 6 Snubs Disney World Parody, But Still Includes Central Florida Elements

Rockstar Games has revealed details about its upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 game in a preview published by Game Informer. The preview asked about the inclusion of famous central Florida locations, such as Disney World or Orlando, but Rockstar's senior vice president of environment art, Paul MacPherson, seemed to rule out a parody version of these landmarks.

'We have to constantly evaluate the diversity of landscapes, towns, structures, landmarks, vistas, plant species, rock formations, and everything else before we work with design and narrative to distill a list down that best works with and serves the game's needs,' said MacPherson.

However, this doesn't entirely shut the door on Disney World being included in some form in GTA 6. A Minnie Mouse-style character was spotted in the gameplay reveal connected to Fred's Pictures, an in-universe Disney-like company first referenced in GTA V.

The game is set to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox, and it seems that Rockstar isn't ignoring central Florida entirely. An alligator-themed park inspired by Gatorland will be included in the game, indicating that Rockstar is incorporating elements of the state into its digital recreation.
