H-E-B Store Nears Completion on I-35 in San Marcos

A new H-E-B store is nearing completion along the growing I-35 corridor in San Marcos, Texas. The 114,000-square-foot store is expected to open this fall, although an exact date has not been announced by the company.

The store will feature several of H-E-B's familiar offerings, including an in-store bakery, Meal Simple prepared foods, a Sushiya sushi bar, and True Texas BBQ. It will also have an H-E-B Fresh Bites convenience store, fuel station, and car wash, as well as curbside pickup and a drive-thru pharmacy.

The new location is part of a larger commercial development called McCarty Commons, which will also include a Home Depot store. Groundwork has already begun on the adjacent property, with the Home Depot expected to break ground in fall 2026.
