Halloween Displays Get a Giant Boost from Home Depot's Animatronic Skelly

Last year's Halloween display was a hit, thanks to an animatronic skeleton from Home Depot. The Ultra Skelly, at 6.5 feet tall and $279, wowed trick-or-treaters with its cheesy dialogue, motorized moves, and light-up eyeballs. But for this year's contest, I stepped up my game with the 12-foot Giant Skelly, available in two versions: one with LCD LifeEyes for $299 and another app-controlled edition for $379.

Both Ultra and Giant Skellys have their features, but they differ significantly in size and capabilities. The Ultra version is fully app-connected and electronic, with built-in lights, prerecorded dialogue, motorized movements, and light-up eyes. It also comes with a voice-changing effect using the DecorPro control app.

The Giant Skelly, on the other hand, is 12 feet tall and ships without app connectivity, but it has a wired remote to cycle through its eye animations. However, for an additional $30, you can buy an LED kit to give it some illumination.
