Harris Buys Undervalued Stocks, Sells Underperformers in Portfolio Shift
Paul Harris, partner and portfolio manager at Toronto-based Harris Douglas Asset Management Inc., has been buying undervalued stocks to hold long-term. One of his recent purchases is UnitedHealth Group Inc.
Harris sees potential in the company due to its massive data processing capabilities, which will benefit from AI adoption and an aging baby boomer population requiring healthcare services.
He also bought Palantir Technologies Inc., a software company that provides commercial platforms for military, intelligence, and law enforcement agencies. Harris expects strong margin and free-cash-flow growth as the company expands into the private sector.
Additionally, Harris added to his Meta Platforms Inc. stake in February 2025, taking advantage of a significant discount due to concerns about lawsuits and AI buildout costs.
