Hart Park & Museum: Tucked Away in LA's Foothills
Located just under 40 minutes from Los Angeles in Santa Clarita's Newhall hills, William S. Hart Park & Museum is a hidden gem for film buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
The 265-acre property was once the personal ranch of silent-film cowboy star William S. Hart, who earned the nickname 'Two-Gun Bill' during his peak in Hollywood between 1914 and 1925.
Visitors can explore the historic mansion, now preserved as the William S. Hart Museum, which offers guided tours showcasing original artwork, books, clothing, and film memorabilia from Hart's illustrious career.
The property still maintains a working Western ranch atmosphere with friendly barnyard animals like pigs, alpacas, ducks, and chickens, as well as a small bison herd descended from those originally gifted to the park by Walt Disney in 1962.
