Hayek Kallen Investment Management Acquires $13.3 Million Stake in Walmart Inc.

Hayek Kallen Investment Management has acquired a significant stake in Walmart Inc. ($WMT) during the second quarter, according to the latest filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission.

The investment management firm purchased approximately 117,484 shares of Walmart's stock, valued at $13,306,000. This acquisition accounts for around 4% of Hayek Kallen Investment Management's holdings, making it its fifth largest position.

This is not the only institution to invest in Walmart; several other investors have also increased their stakes in the company over the past few quarters. Union Bancaire Privee UBP SA lifted its holdings by 253% during the first quarter, while Janney Montgomery Scott LLC saw a 3% increase.
