Heartland Advisors Bolsters Stake in Amazon.com Amid Institutional Investment Surge

Heartland Advisors Inc., a financial institution, has acquired a new stake in Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) worth approximately $4,642,000.

The investment was made during the second quarter and consists of 19,478 shares of Amazon's stock, according to the company's most recent Form 13F filing with the SEC.

This is not an isolated incident; several other institutional investors and hedge funds have also purchased or increased their stakes in Amazon.com recently.

Notable among these are MilWealth Group LLC, which increased its stake by 79.0% during the fourth quarter, and Prudent Man Investment Management Inc., which lifted its holdings by 87.7% during the same period.

The total value of shares owned by hedge funds and other institutional investors in Amazon.com now stands at approximately 72.20%.
