Hern Buys into KO with $1K to $15K Stake
Congressman Kevin Hern has made several notable trades in recent weeks. One of his most significant moves was purchasing shares of Coca-Cola Company (KO), a multinational beverage corporation.
According to a filing, Rep. Hern bought between $1,001 and $15,000 worth of KO stock on August 31st through his 'HERN FAMILY FOUNDATION' account. This is not the only trade he has made recently; he also sold various shares in several companies, including CenterPoint Energy (CNP), TJX Companies (TJX), STERIS (STE), Seagate Technology (STX), NextEra Energy (NEE), Marsh & McLennan Companies (MRSH), IQVIA (IQV), and Home Depot (HD).
Coca-Cola's stock price opened at $87.25 on Tuesday, with a market cap of $375.38 billion. The company has reported strong earnings, beating analysts' estimates by $0.04 per share in the second quarter. Coca-Cola's revenue for the quarter was up 6.2% compared to the same period last year.
JPMorgan Chase and other financial institutions have expressed confidence in Coca-Cola's defensive earnings profile and long-term growth prospects, maintaining a 'Buy/Overweight' rating on the stock. Additionally, analysts have noted that the company's strong rally, premium valuation, and robust earnings record may leave less room for further gains.
