High-Speed Chase Ends Multi-State Theft Ring
A high-speed chase in Wisconsin exposed a multi-state organized retail theft ring, all captured in a viral bodycam video. The chase involved a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 36-year-old Jamie Blake, who reached speeds of 120 MPH while evading police. Inside the van were Blake, 41-year-old Eric Badore, and a third passenger, all fugitives with a history of shoplifting.
The trio had been on a crime spree, stealing electronics from Walmart in Florida, Dyson vacuums from Target in Pennsylvania, and power tools from Home Depot. Their luck ran out on January 26, 2025, when their vehicle was flagged by a license plate reader in Wisconsin. When deputies attempted to pull them over in a Fleet Farm parking lot, Blake sped off, leading to a dangerous pursuit on Interstate 41.
The chase ended when Washington County deputies deployed stop sticks, shredding the minivan's tires. Blake surrendered at gunpoint, and a search of the vehicle revealed stolen goods, an open bottle of tequila, and illegal drugs. Despite multiple out-of-state warrants and the high-speed chase, Blake was shocked to learn she wouldn't be released on bail.
Blake was sentenced to one year in state prison followed by two years of extended supervision. Badore received 60 days in county jail, while the third passenger got four days in jail and a fine. The case highlights the severity of organized retail theft and the consequences of evading law enforcement.
