Hollywood Studios 2026: Construction Closures, Virtual Queues, and Separate Tickets

Hollywood Studios at Disney World is gearing up for changes in 2026 that may affect guest experiences. With the introduction of new attractions and lands, some areas will be closed off to make way for construction.

The Magic of Disney Animation has brought several experiences to the park, including Olaf Draws!, but families who want to draw with Olaf may encounter a virtual queue system. This means guests won't always have the option to walk up and join a traditional standby line.

The construction of Monstropolis, a Monsters, Inc.-themed land, has taken away more than an attraction - it's reduced available space in the park. As a result, crowds may be redirected to fewer areas, making some attractions feel even busier.

Jollywood Nights, a special event that returns to Hollywood Studios on select nights, requires a separate ticket. This adds another layer of complexity for families planning their Disney World vacation.
