Venice Crossing, an 82-acre shopping center under construction on Laurel Road in Venice, has announced its anchor stores. The Home Depot will be one of them, occupying a space of 106,651 square feet. This store is part of the larger retail development, which also includes a 170,995-square-foot Walmart Supercenter and a 28,156-square-foot outdoor garden center.

The shopping center's developer, Jeff Twigg, notes that Venice Crossing is the first large concentrated retail center on the Laurel Road corridor. The property has been vacant for decades while housing, healthcare, schools, and interstate access have developed around it. Infrastructure work is underway, with the first businesses expected to open in 2027.

The Home Depot's expansion plans are part of its growth strategy, which includes new stores in Naples, Inverness, and Davenport. The company emphasizes its commitment to service excellence for customers, associates, communities, and shareholders.
