Home Depot Breaks Ground on New Ocala South Location

Construction has begun on a new Home Depot store in southwest Ocala, marking the home improvement retailer's second location in Marion County. The project spans a 22.62-acre parcel near the intersection of State Road 200 and SW 99th Street Road.

The site plans outline a 134,807-square-foot retail complex featuring a main warehouse building and an attached outdoor garden center. Heavy machinery has been preparing the site, with ground clearing and foundation work underway.

Home Depot finalized its purchase of the property from On Top of the World Communities LLC in late June for $4,644,500. The new location will be designated as The Home Depot, Ocala South.
