Home Depot CEO Ted Decker Steps Down Amid Medical Leave
Home Depot CEO Ted Decker is taking an indefinite medical leave of absence. The company's board of directors has chosen two executives to oversee operations during his time away. Senior EVP Ann-Marie Campbell will handle day-to-day operations, while EVP and CFO Richard McPhail will manage financial operations and Pro subsidiaries.
The reason for Decker's leave was not disclosed by the company. He is expected to return within the next few months. The board has expressed confidence in Campbell and McPhail's ability to lead during his absence.
Home Depot reported first-quarter sales of $41.8 billion, a 4.8% increase from last year. The company reaffirmed its full-year guidance in May, expecting total sales growth of 2.5% to 4.5% for fiscal 2026.
