Home Depot Crushes Earnings Expectations With Revenue Growth

Home Depot's second quarter earnings report exceeded expectations, with revenue growing 5.7% year over year to $47.9 billion and adjusted EPS coming in at $4.92.

Comparable sales rose 1.7%, marking a positive trend after a soft Q1. The company also reaffirmed its full-year guidance.

CFO Richard McPhail stated that the second quarter results 'exceeded our expectations,' and management raised the dividend to $2.33 per quarter, its 156th consecutive cash dividend.
