The Home Depot has officially opened its new location in Cookeville, Tennessee, on October 7. The store features a 'board-cutting' ceremony, where Store Manager Michael Walsh used a handsaw to cut a decorated board instead of a traditional ribbon.

The new location will employ 180 associates and add more than 150 local jobs, according to the company's release. The store includes a 106,600-square-foot store and a 28,100-square-foot outdoor garden center.

'Nationally, each Home Depot position supports more than four additional jobs across the U.S. economy,' the company said in a statement.
