Home Depot Expands into Southern Maryland with New Location
St. John Properties Inc. has announced the sale of a 13.52-acre parcel to The Home Depot, marking another significant milestone for Lexington Exchange in California, Maryland.
The development, which spans 140 acres, is a mixed-use business community that includes retail, office, and service-oriented users. This deal represents The Home Depot's first location in Southern Maryland, where it will join other businesses such as ALDI, Royal Farms, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and RC Theatres.
Andrew Roud, St. John Properties' regional partner for Southern Maryland, stated that 'The Home Depot is one of the nation's most respected and recognizable retail brands,' adding that its arrival will bring new full- and part-time jobs to the area.
Lexington Exchange currently has five buildings, including approximately 120,000 square feet of flex/R&D space and 65,000 square feet of retail. The development is configured to support around 600,000 square feet of commercial space.
