The Home Depot Foundation has launched a new program called 'Skills Explorers' to introduce students aged 11-17 to skilled construction trade careers. The program is designed to raise awareness of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical fields among young people who are forming their career interests and perceptions.

Developed in partnership with Scouting America, the Skills Explorers program offers a hands-on, no-cost experience that allows students to explore various skilled trade careers. The program is available to any youth education groups, including schools, aftercare programs, clubs, parents' organizations, and homeschool groups.

The Home Depot Foundation's commitment to introduce 15 million people to the skilled trades by 2032 includes growing its partnerships focused on introducing youth to the skilled trades. This new partnership with Scouting America is a key component of this commitment, which also involves expanding existing partnerships such as Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
