Home Depot Foundation Teaches Trades to Teens with Free Educational Program
The Home Depot Foundation is launching an initiative to introduce 15 million young people to skilled construction trades by 2032. The program, called 'Path to Pro Skills Explorers', offers a free, hands-on educational experience for middle and high school students ages 11-17.
The curriculum was developed in partnership with Scouting America and piloted with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It includes age-appropriate content on leadership and soft skills, as well as exposure to career pathways.
In addition to the Path to Pro Skills Explorers program, educators have access to free facilitation guides and videos, while parents can obtain interactive project guides to share with their teens.
