Home Depot Launches Program to Introduce Students to Skilled Trades

The Home Depot and The Home Depot Foundation are launching a program to introduce students to skilled trades. Path to Pro Skills Explorers is a free, accessible way for young people to explore careers in plumbing, construction, electrical fields, and more.

Career conversations can start early, says Michael Rowe, executive vice president of Pro for The Home Depot. 'We know that closing the skilled labor gap starts much earlier,' he said. 'We need more young people to see what's possible and understand the lucrative opportunities these careers provide.'

The program provides a mix of online resources and hands-on activities to explore viable career paths.
