Home Depot Opens Massachusetts Flatbed Delivery Center for Faster Job Site Deliveries
The Home Depot has opened its newest flatbed delivery center (FDC) in Westminster, Massachusetts, serving the greater Boston area and the broader New England region. This facility, the 18th in the network, is designed to deliver oversized and bulk products more efficiently to job sites, easing the burden on local stores.
The 1.1-million-square-foot center features site-direct flatbed delivery, allowing for the direct shipment of large, heavy materials to job sites. It also offers an extensive selection of building products, enabling professionals to order large quantities for entire projects in a single order. By handling bulk orders at this specialized hub, the facility frees up space and staff time at 80 regional stores, allowing associates to focus more on customer service.
Michael Rowe, executive vice president of Pro for The Home Depot, emphasized the importance of saving time for professionals. “A Pro’s most valuable asset is their time, so we’re continuing to expand our flatbed delivery network to get heavy materials to more job sites faster and more efficiently,” he said. The center is part of an interconnected ecosystem of digital and financial tools, including order management, trade credit, preferred pricing, and dedicated sales support.
In addition to expanding its flatbed delivery network, The Home Depot is also growing its store footprint, with new locations opening in various states through 2026.
