Home Depot Provides $1.2 Million in Relief for Wren Kitchens Customers
Home Depot has stepped in to assist Connecticut customers affected by the bankruptcy of Wren Kitchens, announcing a $1.235 million relief package. The move comes after Wren Kitchens filed for bankruptcy on April 24, leaving many customers with incomplete or undelivered kitchen projects. The company operated 10 showrooms within Connecticut Home Depot locations, including Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield, Waterbury, and Enfield.
Following Wren’s closure, Connecticut Attorney General William Tong’s office reached out to Home Depot for support. The retailer has since helped 286 customers, providing financial assistance and other forms of relief. Home Depot will continue offering help through October 31, with affected customers able to request assistance by emailing customers@thdoccresolutions.zendesk.com.
Home Depot has facilitated $303,000 in credit card chargebacks for customers who disputed payments with their credit card companies. Additionally, the retailer provided $932,000 in gift cards or checks to customers who only received partial orders from Wren. Home Depot has also introduced discounts and financing options across all stores that previously hosted Wren showrooms, including 30% off special-order cabinets, 5% off special-order countertops, and three-year no-interest financing.
