Home Depot Sees Increased Investment from Hedge Funds Amid Strong Earnings Report
The Home Depot, Inc. (NYSE: HD) has seen increased investment from various hedge funds, with Roman Butler Fullerton & Co. purchasing a new stake in shares during the second quarter. The fund acquired approximately $3.12 million worth of stock, comprising 9,259 shares.
This is not an isolated instance, as other hedge funds have also been buying and selling shares of Home Depot. King Luther Capital Management Corp increased its position by 0.6% in the fourth quarter, while Thompson Siegel & Walmsley LLC raised its stake by a staggering 320.4% during the same period.
The company's latest quarterly earnings report exceeded analysts' expectations, with revenue of $47.86 billion and earnings per share (EPS) of $4.92. While this is a positive development for Home Depot, some experts are cautioning that margin pressure and an uphill sales environment could constrain comparable sales and profitability.
