Microsoft Boosts OneDrive Speed with New Native Sync Engine for macOS
Microsoft has been working to improve the OneDrive experience for macOS users. The company is introducing a new Native Sync Engine that will speed up sync speeds, reliability, and resource efficiency.
The update will be rolled out from late August to late November this year. It modernizes the OneDrive sync experience on Mac devices by reducing resource consumption, improving reliability, and making synced content more accessible in Finder.
Eligible macOS devices will automatically upgrade to the Native Sync Engine when they receive an updated version of the OneDrive sync app. Users can continue working in OneDrive while the upgrade completes.
