Home Depot Inc., one of the largest home improvement retailers in the US, reported its Q2 2026 results on August 24. The company's revenue rose to $47.86B, a 5.7% increase from the same period last year. Net income reached $4.77B, up 4.7% compared to the prior-year quarter.

The significant growth in revenue was driven by recent acquisitions, including GMS and Mingledorff's, as well as strong comparable sales. Online sales grew about 11% year-over-year, accounting for roughly 16.6% of net sales, indicating continued e-commerce momentum.

The company expanded its store footprint with three new US store openings in Q2, bringing the total store count to 2,364. The operations generated substantial cash flow, which was used for dividends, capital expenditures (approximately $1.7B YTD), and acquisitions to support growth.
