A Ukrainian asylum seeker has been banned from all Home Depot locations in Ontario for a year after pleading guilty to theft under $5,000 and breaching court orders.

Levan Meskhia appeared in court facing charges related to an incident on February 11, 2026, at the same store where he had previously been caught stealing electronics while on bail.

Meskhia was also driving with a suspended license when he was caught, and was prohibited from entering Home Depot as part of his earlier bail conditions.

The judge expressed concern about Meskhia's repeated offending and warned him that if he continued to commit crimes in Canada, 'we're going to kick you out of this country.'
