Home Depot Smashes Q2 Earnings Expectations on Small Project Surge
Home Depot exceeded Wall Street's expectations for its second-quarter earnings, driven by customer demand for smaller projects. The company reported revenue of $47.9 billion, a nearly 6% increase from the previous year and above the estimated $47.3 billion.
The adjusted earnings came in at $4.79 per share, beating the predicted $4.73. CFO Richard McPhail stated that 'we saw broad-based demand across the business as customers continued to engage in smaller projects.'
Customers may be prioritizing smaller projects over larger ones due to economic uncertainty and changing consumer behavior.
