A lawsuit has been filed against Home Depot in Wildwood after a shopper claimed an unsecured display microwave fell on him.

Ulrich Hofmann allegedly attempted to open the door of a display oven hood microwave that was not secured or restrained at the store's Wildwood Crossing location.

When Hofmann pulled the door, the entire appliance fell forward and struck him before knocking him backward onto the floor on June 9.

Hofmann claims he suffered permanent physical injuries, medical expenses, physical impairment, and pain and suffering as a direct result of the fall.
