Home Depot's Giant Animatronic Spider Crawls into Neighborhoods
A new Halloween decoration has been spotted at Home Depot - literally. The retailer is selling a six-foot-wide, animatronic spider that moves on a track, complete with glowing eyes and illuminated details.
The 'Wicked Woods Animated LED Creeping Spider' is priced at $249 and measures 70 inches wide, 68 inches deep, and 36 inches high when assembled. It comes with ground stakes for anchoring the track and an included plug-in adapter, requiring about 30 minutes of setup time from a single person.
According to Home Depot, the spider's movement is triggered by a motion sensor, which also activates three spooky sounds. The decoration is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, but it's essential to read customer reviews before making a purchase, as some users have reported issues with the product's performance.
