Home Depot's Holiday Sweater Sells Out in a Flash
Home Depot has entered the ugly holiday sweater market for the first time, releasing a limited-edition sweater that combines novelty and function. The bright orange and green sweater features tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers alongside traditional holiday patterns like snowflakes and candy canes.
The tool belt attached to the sweater includes essential items like a screwdriver, tape measure, pliers, and a rechargeable headlamp, making it easy for customers to tackle their holiday decorating checklist in style. The $29.99 online item was valued at $150 by Home Depot but sold out almost immediately when it dropped on October 1.
Aubrey Horowitz, merchant of decorative holiday at The Home Depot, explained that the company's goal is to help customers turn their biggest holiday ideas into reality with innovative and affordable products. However, the sweater may have been too hot, as it sold out quickly despite being valued higher than its actual price.
