Honeywell Accelerates Innovation Drive in Fire Industry with Rapid Development of New Technologies
Honeywell is accelerating its innovation drive in the fire industry, shifting from traditional regulation-based change to rapid development and deployment of new technologies. The company's Chief Technology Officer, Global Fire, Katie Davis, explains that over the past year, Honeywell has nearly doubled the number of development projects underway while maintaining a focus on solving real-world customer problems.
The latest example is the new Smoke Control solution for the INSPIRE platform, developed in collaboration with customers to simplify one of the most complex aspects of fire system installation. This product addresses customer feedback and streamlines programming and installation processes, reducing time by a significant amount.
Honeywell's Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS) platform is also undergoing rapid development, incorporating data-driven technologies and predictive capabilities. The company aims to fundamentally change the role of fire technology from reacting to emergencies to anticipating them before they occur. By collating vast amounts of data, Honeywell hopes to enable predictive analytics that can identify potential issues before they become serious incidents.
