Honeywell and QFZ Partner for Integrated Manufacturing Hub
The Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ) has partnered with Honeywell Technologies to establish an integrated manufacturing and service hub in Qatar's free zones. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO of QFZ, and Matt Spalding, Vice President of Process Technology at Honeywell Technologies.
The hub will focus on machining and servicing Honeywell Technologies' Sundyne pumps used in energy and process industries. This collaboration is expected to expand local access to specialized manufacturing and servicing capabilities, supporting customers in Qatar, the Middle East, and Africa.
The MoU also opens up opportunities for wider cooperation across Honeywell Technologies' portfolio, including process technology, automation, cybersecurity, and building automation solutions. QFZ's integrated platform and strategic connectivity will provide a strong foundation to scale these capabilities in support of Qatar's Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
