Honeywell CEO Welcomes GE Aerospace-CPP Deal as Positive for Industry
Honeywell Aero's CEO has weighed in on GE Aerospace's planned acquisition of Consolidated Precision Products (CPP), describing it as 'positive for the industry overall'. Jim Currier made these comments at the Morgan Stanley Laguna Conference, where he also discussed his company's efforts to bring back in-house core technologies and capabilities.
CPP is a castings giant that GE Aerospace plans to acquire for $12 billion. The deal aims to address jet-engine supply bottlenecks by bringing production capabilities under one umbrella. According to Currier, Honeywell Aero does not compete with CPP and has no overlap within the portfolio.
'The type of parts that we receive from CPP are very different than the type of parts that GE receives from them,' Currier said. This suggests that each company will benefit from the partnership without compromising their own operations.
