Honeywell Fires Up Innovation Drive with Rapid Tech Advancements
Honeywell is accelerating its innovation drive in the fire industry, shifting from a traditional focus on regulation and certification to rapid development of new technologies.
The company's Chief Technology Officer, Katie Davis, Global Fire, Honeywell, says that over the past year, they've nearly doubled their number of development projects while maintaining a clear focus on solving real-world customer problems.
Honeywell has developed a new Smoke Control solution for its INSPIRE platform, which simplifies one of the most complex aspects of fire system installation. The system includes a 'purge' function that automatically responds to carbon monoxide events by exhausting contaminated air from the affected zone while introducing fresh air.
The company's connected software ecosystem, Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS), is also being continuously updated with new features such as Rescue Assist, designed to improve emergency evacuation for occupants with disabilities. The system provides real-time monitoring and situational awareness for emergency responders.
