Honeywell Sees Strong Start as Pure-Play Automation Business
Honeywell International, Inc., NASDAQ:HON, has made a strong start as it transitions into a pure-play automation company following the completion of its aerospace and advanced materials operations spin-offs. Chairman and CEO Vimal Kapur stated that the company is seeing stronger-than-expected early-quarter momentum in this new structure.
Kapur emphasized that Honeywell's focus on executing the commitments outlined at its investor day has been successful, with approximately 75 days having passed since the transition. The company now operates as a pure-play automation business serving building, process, and industrial end markets.
Honeywell is targeting higher-growth verticals that currently represent roughly 20% of its revenue mix, including data centers, hospitals, and hospitality in building automation; LNG and life sciences in process automation; and semiconductors in industrial automation. These markets are expected to grow at approximately 15% in 2026.
