Honeywell to Enhance L&T Realty Projects with Smart Building Systems
Honeywell Technologies has signed an agreement to deploy its integrated building management systems (IBMS) across select residential and commercial projects developed by L&T Realty in Mumbai and Chennai. The collaboration focuses on consolidating building automation, safety, security, and video surveillance onto a unified platform, enhancing operational efficiency.
The deployment includes Honeywell Forge, a performance monitoring and operational insights platform, marking one of its earliest large-scale applications in India’s multi-family housing sector. This system will provide building operators with a centralized view of key systems, enabling near real-time monitoring and faster responses to safety and operational issues.
For L&T Realty, this initiative aligns with the growing importance of technology in managing large-scale developments. The integrated system allows operators to track energy consumption, security, equipment performance, and other operational functions from a single interface, streamlining building management processes.
Honeywell has highlighted that the deployment is aimed at improving overall building operations rather than introducing separate technology systems for individual functions. The projects involved are located in Mumbai and Chennai, with the goal of optimizing building performance and operational insights through Honeywell Forge.
