Honeywell to Power Kenya's Largest Single-Train Refinery
Honeywell Technologies has been selected to provide process technologies and services for Dangote's planned 700,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Kenya. The facility will produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and polypropylene using Honeywell Technologies' refining and petrochemical processing solutions.
The project leverages proven engineering designs developed by Honeywell Technologies for Dangote's refinery in Lekki, Nigeria. This collaboration is expected to reduce the development schedule for the Kenya facility by nearly two years, or 30% sooner than typical newly constructed facilities.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE has partnered with Honeywell Technologies on this project, which is valued at approximately $300 million. The companies have a long-standing relationship, with over nine years of collaboration.
