HotHands Hand Warmers Recalled Nationwide for Fire Hazard
A nationwide recall has been issued for HotHands rechargeable hand warmers, sold by major retailers including Bass Pro Shops, Meijer, Target, The Home Depot, and Amazon. The recall is due to potential fire and burn hazards, which could cause serious injuries. The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the notice, highlighting that the hand warmers contain lithium-ion batteries and electrical components that can overheat and ignite.
Approximately 77,000 units were sold between July 2025 and August 2026. The recalled products have the model number H163650. Consumers are advised to contact Kobayashi for a full refund and to learn how to obtain a claim number.
