Hurly-Burly Lounge Opens Amid Disney World Hotel Refurbishments

Walt Disney World's hotels are undergoing significant changes this October as part of their ongoing evolution. One major development is the opening of Hurly-Burly Lounge at Coronado Springs Resort on October 1st. This new entertainment venue will offer a family-friendly atmosphere with activities and trivia games during the day, transitioning to a live music venue for adults in the evenings.

The lounge's menu features a range of coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites, including meatballs, antipasto, mini pretzels with bacon-cheese fondue, and oven-roasted shrimp. Hurly-Burly Lounge aims to fill the void left by JellyRolls, which closed in April 2025.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is also undergoing refurbishments, with the north side lobby corridor closing from September 28th to October 9th and the south side lobby corridor closing from October 26th to November 6th. Other hotels, including Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, Yacht Club, All-Star Movies, and Coronado Springs Convention Center, will also see exterior refurbishments or maintenance.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is nearing its reopening after being closed since the spring, with reservations available from November 2nd onwards. As October comes to a close, decorations for the Christmas season will start to appear in certain areas of Disney World's hotels.
