HWiNFO is set to introduce per-chip VRAM temperature monitoring for both AMD and Nvidia GPUs. This feature will be available on all AMD Radeon cards since the RX 5000, as well as on GDDR6X- and GDDR7-equipped Nvidia GeForce cards.

The update will allow users to diagnose cooler performance by displaying per-chip temperatures for each GPU. For example, HWiNFO will show two temperature readings for each of the eight channels/chips on the flagship RX 9070 XT card.

This feature is expected to be particularly useful for users who experience problems after repasting their GPUs or replacing thermal pads.
