Hyderabad Home Sales Plummet 13% as Average Ticket Size Rises
Hyderabad's home sales have hit a four-year low in FY26, according to a report by CREDAI Hyderabad-CRE Matrix. In the first half of the current fiscal year, the city recorded 26,068 units sold, marking its weakest performance since 2022. This represents a decline of 13% from the same period last year.
The average ticket size of homes sold increased by 10% year-on-year to Rs 2.03 crore in H1 FY26, while total residential sales valued at Rs 52,913 crore made Hyderabad the third-largest residential market in India by sales value, behind Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Industry representatives attributed the slowdown partly to weaker investment flows from non-resident Indians, particularly those based in the United States. They said uncertainty over jobs and tighter visa norms had affected a segment that has traditionally contributed to demand for premium housing in Hyderabad.
