IBM Acquires HashiCorp in $7.4 Billion Deal
HashiCorp, a leading DevOps company, has been acquired by IBM in an all-cash deal. The total purchase consideration for HashiCorp is $7,433M, with $7,212M of that being common stock and the remaining balance made up of equity awards, pre-acquisition stock compensation, and a pre-existing relationship settlement.
The enterprise value of HashiCorp was initially estimated to be around $6.4B, but this has been corrected to reflect the actual purchase consideration at the closing date of February 27, 2025.
