IBM Acquires Logiq Consulting for Enhanced Cyber Capabilities
International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) has acquired Logiq Consulting, a UK-based cybersecurity firm that specializes in serving defense, critical infrastructure, and public sector clients. The acquisition is aimed at bolstering IBM's consulting services with a security-first approach.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is expected to enhance IBM's reach in the UK public and defense sectors. Logiq Consulting has an NCSC-assured cybersecurity capability that aligns with IBM's focus on hybrid cloud and AI services.
With this acquisition, IBM is strengthening its data sovereignty offering amid rising regulatory demands. The integration of Logiq Consulting's DISX sovereign platform with IBM's existing SiXworks unit may also speed up cross-selling opportunities in regulated sectors.
