IBM Acquires Logiq Consulting to Bolster Defense Cybersecurity Capabilities

IBM has acquired Logiq Consulting, a UK-based cybersecurity consultancy specializing in defense and critical national infrastructure. The acquisition was announced on September 24, 2026.

The deal is aimed at expanding IBM's secure digital transformation work for regulated clients. Logiq brings capabilities spanning cybersecurity assurance, Secure by Design, secure systems engineering, digital transformation, and secure managed services.

The consultancy is NCSC-assured, meaning it has been vetted by the UK government's National Cyber Security Centre. It also developed and operates DISX, a sovereign collaboration platform for securely exchanging sensitive information with UK government and defense organizations.

IBM said the acquisition strengthens its ability to help clients manage risk, protect critical services, and navigate an increasingly complex threat landscape.
