IBM Adds Tech Veteran Frank Baker to Board
IBM has announced the appointment of Frank Baker to its board of directors. Effective immediately, Baker will bring his expertise to IBM as the company advances its vision and drives enterprise transformation through technology.
Baker is the co-founder and managing partner of Siris Capital Group, a private equity firm that has deployed over $9 billion in equity capital since its inception. He oversees the firm's portfolio and leads its investment strategy. Prior to joining Siris, Baker worked at Ripplewood Holdings as a managing director and in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs.
Baker holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Chicago. He currently serves on several boards, including trustee of the University of Chicago, chairman of the board of the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center, and trustee of Deerfield Academy.
IBM Chairman Arvind Krishna welcomed Baker to the company, stating that his perspective will be invaluable as IBM continues to advance its vision.
