IBM and Yotta Launch Indian-Sovereign Agentic AI Platform
IBM and Yotta Data Services have launched a sovereign agentic artificial intelligence platform for Indian organisations. The platform is designed to allow companies to deploy, operate, and govern AI agents at scale on infrastructure hosted in India.
The platform combines IBM's WatsonX Orchestrate agentic AI technology with Yotta's Shakti Cloud and Shakti Studio platforms. It provides the control layer for managing AI agents, including their security and governance, as well as the computing, graphics processing unit (GPU), networking, and security infrastructure.
Yotta's Shakti Studio offers tools for organisations to develop and deploy AI models, including open-source and proprietary models, as well as model fine-tuning and inference. The platform is available through Yotta's cloud regions in Panvel and Greater Noida.
Indian companies are increasingly seeking to deploy AI while keeping data, computing infrastructure, and governance controls within the country. This is driven by the need for greater control over the location of data, AI inference, infrastructure, and operational processes as they expand the use of AI agents.
