Baker Chad R, an institutional investor, boosted its position in IBM by 40.7% during the second quarter, according to its most recent Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The investor owned 22,885 shares of IBM's stock after acquiring an additional 6,625 shares during the quarter, making its holdings worth $6,435,000.
Other notable investors also increased their stakes in IBM during the fourth quarter. Despite the investments, IBM's shares have declined even after a major partnership with OpenAI was announced. However, investors are looking for evidence that the alliance can accelerate sales and profits.
