IBM Bob Platform Now Available for Self-Hosted Deployment
IBM has expanded its AI development platform, Bob, by introducing a self-hosted deployment option. This feature allows organizations to run the tool within their own on-premises environments, including private-cloud, sovereign-cloud, and air-gapped settings.
The move aims to cater to enterprises that face security and compliance requirements restricting the use of public AI platforms. These restrictions often pertain to handling sensitive source code, regulated data, or mission-critical infrastructure.
According to IBM's Institute for Business Value report from June 2026, 68% of surveyed executives struggle with meeting data residency and sovereignty requirements across geographies.
