IBM Bolsters Cybersecurity with Logiq Consulting Acquisition
IBM's UK firm has bolstered its cybersecurity offerings by acquiring Logiq Consulting for an undisclosed fee. The acquisition brings specialist capabilities in cybersecurity assurance, Secure by Design, and secure systems engineering to IBM's table.
Logiq Consulting has a track record of working with highly regulated environments, including the UK defence industry, critical national infrastructure, and the public sector. Its expertise will complement IBM's global scale and AI capabilities.
Cybersecurity is increasingly crucial as organisations accelerate their transformation and adopt AI at scale, according to Mark Hughes, global managing partner for IBM Consulting Cybersecurity Services. He stated that protecting mission-critical systems has never been more important.
