IBM Bolsters Digital Banking Infrastructure with Swift Integration
IBM has enhanced its digital banking infrastructure by integrating its IBM Digital Asset Haven clients with Swift's blockchain-based shared ledger. This integration allows financial institutions and regulated organizations to gain greater control over their digital asset operations through an on-premises beta deployment.
The solution, available on IBM Z and IBM LinuxONE, enables the processing of tokenized deposit transactions using standard ISO 20022 messages while connecting to permissioned blockchain networks. By integrating with Swift's shared ledger, institutions can support tokenized deposits and move digital assets 24/7 before final settlement.
This development reflects IBM's ongoing efforts to advance digital asset infrastructure while helping financial institutions adopt tokenized assets within established security and compliance frameworks.
